Usage
Electrophoretic deposition coatings, high solid coatings, can coatings (especially for food or beverage containers in contact with the surface), coil coatings, metal decorative coatings.
- Water-borne coatings: In electrophoretic deposition coatings and water-borne coatings, YDN5130 resin has excellent stability and should be added to the coating before diluting with water.
- Organic solvent coatings: YDN5130 resin has very low extractable content and is suitable for high solid coatings. Compared with fully methylated, partially methylated or fully butylated resins, it has less weight loss during curing, has a fast reduction effect, and good metal surface penetration. When the coating film is thick, there is no bubble formation during curing.

YDN5130 is a highly alkylated melamine-formaldehyde resin. It is a multi-purpose crosslinking agent for widely used polymers such as water-borne and organic solvent containing carboxyl, hydroxyl, or amide groups, such as epoxy resins, alkyd resins, polyester resins, acrylic resins, and polyethylene polymers and cellulose.
YDN5130 resin is soluble in most organic solvents. Although it is insoluble in water, the resin can be arbitrarily diluted and mixed in most water-borne resin systems.
